Turn Back the Clock with Fillers and Botox
Dermal Fillers
Have you ever looked in the mirror and pulled the skin back to see if you look younger? What you are actually doing is lifting and softening the skin, creating a younger looking you. This look can be achieved with dermal fillers.
What areas can be treated?
Dermal fillers can 'fill out' and smooth away several areas including, nasolabial lines (nose to mouth grooves), forehead lines, crows' feet, lines around the mouth and the decolletage area. Fillers are also effective for increasing fullness to narrow lips, enhancing sunken cheeks and can even be used to reverse the signs of ageing on the hands.
How does it work?
Youthful skin is rich in hyaluronic acid, a chemical which occurs naturally in the body. Hyaluronic acid is vital for hydration of the skin as well as keeping it firm. As we age, the distribution and function of hyaluronic acid in our skin gradually changes, leading to the characteristic signs of aging such as sagging, wrinkling and fine lines. Fillers work by enhancing the skin's own stocks of hyaluronic acid, directly adding volume to either soften the signs of aging or enhance facial features. Dermal fillers provide the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid which is effective in eliminating wrinkles immediately.
How is treatment administered?
The procedure involves injecting small amounts of filler using an extremely fine needle into the area of concern.
Is it painful?
A topical anaesthetic cream will be applied prior to treatment, minimising any discomfort.
Is it safe?
At Eternel MedSpa we use fillers that do not contain any animal derived, allergy-causing ingredients; therefore an allergy test will not be required. All fillers are completely biocompatible, biodegradable and natural therefore you can be assured that the treatment is completely safe. Some patients may experience slight redness or mild bruising to the treatment area which are only temporary and will disappear over a period of a
Botox
More and more celebrities each day turn to Botox to help iron out wrinkles and refresh the skin. Once a beauty secret for the rich and famous, Botox is now being used by men and women all over the world. Botox is one of the best known and most popular non-surgical treatments for treating lines and wrinkles caused by smiling, laughing and frowning. Botox is now also available for the treatment of excess underarm perspiration.
Botox for Lines and Wrinkles
How does it work?
When we laugh or frown our brain sends a signal to our muscles to make expression lines appear on our face. Botox is used to smooth out the expression lines that are caused by those muscles. Botox works by blocking the signals from the nerve to the facial muscles to stop them contracting, leaving the skin looking smooth and youthful.
How is treatment administered?
Botox is administered using tiny injections which are injected precisely into the muscles that cause facial lines. At consultation, your facial muscles will be examined, so that our medical practitioner will be able to determine where to accurately administer the injections.
Is it painful?
Most clients find Botox painless as the needle used is very small. However we can apply topical anaesthetic gel to numb the area prior to treatment should this be required.
Is it safe?
Botox has a high safety record and has been used for over 20 years. There are no scars, no downtime and none of the risks associated with going under the knife.
How long do the results last?
Lines start to soften from 3 to 10 days post treatment and these results last from 3 to 6 months and sometimes longer depending on each individual.
Botox for Hyperhidrosis(underarm sweating)
Excessive sweating is a common problem amongst men and women. This can be distressing and have a serious impact on daily life. In some cases, affected people even avoid social contact because of the embarrassment it causes, however, the condition is now treatable with Botox.
Botox has been shown in clinical studies to be effective in treating excessive underarm sweating. This is a highly effective treatment which can provide relief from sweating in more than 95% of people with a minimum duration of 4 to 6 months.
How is Botulinum Toxin used?
After performing a harmless and painless starch test to locate the sweat glands, a very small needle is used to inject small amounts of Botulinum Toxin into the skin of the underarms in approximately 12 to 15 places on each underarm.
When will treatment take effect?
Underarm sweating will decrease by 95% within 48 hours and the full effect will be seen within 1 week. Along with the sweating, there is a simultaneous disappearance of odour associated with the decreased sweating.
How long does the treatment last?
Most patients will obtain 5 to 6 months of dryness with one treatment.
